Talking to a number of businesses and entrepreneurs at an exhibition organised by Birmingham Chamber of Commerce I found that the popularity of CRM is hitting new highs. The rise in the use of social media has boosted our need to “connect” and this is being capitalised by the developers of modern CRM platforms like Salesforce & Microsoft Dynamics. However as solution providers we continue to stress the need to understand the business model and the operational requirements before jumping on to the CRM Solution. While a CRM platform can add value to many businesses, they are not a “one size fits all” solution.
